Documentation

Resumia.ai is designed to be simple. You don't need to be a prompt engineer to get great results.

1

Uploading Your Resume

We support PDF, DOCX, and TXT files. For best results, ensure your resume is text-selectable (not an image scan). Our parser extracts your work history, skills, and education automatically.

Pro Tip: Use a simple layout. Multi-column layouts can sometimes confuse older ATS systems, and our parser works best with standard formatting.
2

The Job Description (JD)

Copy the full text of the job posting. Include the "Requirements" and "Responsibilities" sections. You can omit the company "About Us" boilerplate if you want, but our AI is smart enough to ignore it.

3

Analysis Phase

We compare your resume against the JD using two metrics:

  • M
Match Score:How well your skills and experience align with the role.
  • A
ATS Score:How easily a machine can parse your document.
4

Clarification

If the AI detects a gap (e.g., JD asks for "AWS" but you only listed "Cloud"), it will ask you:"Do you have experience with AWS?". This ensures we don't hallucinate skills you don't have.
